Farmer Auctions is thrilled to bring you this diverse collection from a family who resided in Salem, Va. This couple enjoyed traveling all over the world. Evidence of their travels in the form of photographs, cruise line memorabilia, and unique decorator pieces can be found all over the home. Below are some of the highlights from this once-in-a-lifetime collection.
This home is full to the brim with pieces from a few large collections. One of the first collections we took notice of was the variety of Steiff Animals in a range of sizes! But that is not all that collectors will love. This auction also offers many lots of department 56 Snowbabies, vintage peanut butter pails, local ephemera & advertising, notable toys and Waterford crystal. The couples' influence can be seen in the clocks (mantle, alarm, novelty, etc.) and men’s and women’s wristwatches.
Not to be outdone by the fabulous collectibles, this auction also offers some unique furniture pieces that include a wooden dental cabinet, walnut pie safe from Montgomery county, walnut corner cupboard, jelly cupboard, Victorian secretary, and bedroom suite. Older pieces in this home also include advertising store counter displays.
We would love to continue to talk about the pieces in this auction, but you might as well check it out for yourselves! Please enjoy browsing, and happy bidding!
