ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS AUCTION GO TO SUPPORT THE HANDMADE MUSIC SCHOOL IN FLOYD, VIRGINIA. This incredible banjo has been donated to the Floyd Country Store by a friend of the Store. All proceeds of this auction will go toward support of the Handmade Music School. The Virginia Charity Banjo is entirely one-of-a-kind, made with a Honey Amber neck bearing the shape and name of Virginia proudly on the peghead. With pearloid inlays of light blue set into the Midnight Maple fingerboard, paired with its purple resonator this banjo bears to the colors of the symbolic men of the Virginia State Seal. The drum head of the banjo is custom made by Remo with the Delta Tour Wings Logo and personally signed by Mumford & Sons. Based on the Deering Artisan Goodtime Two this banjo has a resonator back for projection, and a violin grade maple rim that gives it a bright and clear tone. In the spirit of giving to the communities welcoming them, Mumford & Sons and Deering Banjos ,originally sold the banjo in 2019 as a result of their philanthropic partnership with the Delta Tour Mumford & Sons Charity Goodtime Banjos. Custom one-of-a-kind Artisan Goodtime Banjos were crafted representing locations the band played on their Delta tour around the world. The original charity auction sale of the banjo benefited the charity Women Giving Back. Each are personally signed by Mumford & Sons and will were auctioned online benefiting hand-picked local charities in the tour regions. Each of these banjos were designed and made at the Deering Banjos factory in Spring Valley, California.
