Ed and Evelyn Tomchin have lived and worked for decades in Bluefield and Princeton, WV. This modest auction contains items they collected, some reflective of their many travels around the world. Farmer Auctions would love to offer you the opportunity to step back in time to experience the Antique collection of Regina and Steve Vassar. Steve and Gina were both born of families with deep roots to the areas of Bedford, Roanoke and Buchanan. Once together, Steve and Gina opened a booth at the old Happy's Flea Market building in Roanoke VA. They named it This and That Antiques. When the booth closed, they continued to build their personal collection in their historic 1880s home in Elliston. They spent their time outside of collecting taking care of numerous farm animals. While family was often invited into the home, perhaps no one knew just how incredible this collection is until now!

We are pleased to present the outstanding Patricia Obenshain Estate. Patricia worked many years at the Apple Barn while her husband, Cary, owned his own Esso gas station. This couple liked to "bring their work home" evidenced by their collection of Esso and Texaco advertising and ephemera and Department 56 Christmas décor such as the Dickens Heritage Village, Billy Buttons snowmen, and Willow Tree figurines and Cats Meow collectibles. They also have quite the coin collection sifting through coins from years of working at the gas station. Patricia had very fine taste when it came to furniture, jewelry, and art. Wonderful pieces of furniture include a Lane cedar chest, an amazing antique corner cabinet and an immaculate Tom Seely cherry wood bedroom set. She also was the proud owner of some amazing jewelry including many gold pieces, diamonds, and other fine stones.
Patricia had over 30 P. Buckley Moss framed art pieces. The property is situated in beautiful Botetourt County with an amazing sweeping view of the farm they owned and worked. This auction contains farm equipment used to keep this farm looking beautiful including a John Deere 1450 tractor, Ford 4610 II tractor, as well as a few trailers, John Deere hay rake, New Holland 640 Auto Wrap baler and post hole driver. Other incredible pieces of interest on this wonderful estate include a vintage Michigan cash register, a Piedmont Candy Company candy jar, secretary desks, Bassett Furniture washstand, hand stitched quilts, vintage toys, crocks and apple crates from local orchards.
