We are honored to present to you the Estate of Richard "Rich" Skulina. Mr. Skulina was a proud U.S. Army Atomic Veteran & a lifelong amateur radio (Ham) operator. He was also an avid reader, airplane enthusiast and fascinated by science and history.

He has an extensive collection of completed & unbuilt airplane, ships, tanks, and train models, some of which date back to the 1960s.

Some other highlights from this amazing collection include: Pre-War Lionel train set, military helmets, vintage radios, original watercolors by Luke Buck, Steiff, Civil War soldier lamps, tools, original artwork, fishing poles & tackle, red-line Hotwheels & Matchbox cars, H. Siegler upright Bass, Breedlove Acoustic-Electric Guitar, vintage stamps, comic books, a fantastic collection of record albums from The Beatles, Rolling Stones & more!

There are also hundreds of books, many based on WWII history. Sterling Silver, jewelry, coins, Mid Century Modern furniture, and let's not forget the 1954 Dodge M37 Military truck!

Eloise Shelor loved to collect unique beautiful things. She owned a State Farm Agency in Roanoke for 48 years and enjoyed the work as an insurance agent. Her family says she only wanted the best, and her estate reflects this. It includes a collection of beautiful vases such as Fenton, hand painted Asian vases, Nippon, and others. There is also a decorative hand painted Rocking Horse,  as well as mantle clocks, Karastan rugs, and signed original paintings. 

Furniture pieces include MCM pieces by Lane, a Victorian Parlor armchair, a unique Spanish Mediterranean Headboard. There are also some ornate wall mirrors.

Outside there is a Vintage Salterini Wrought Iron Patio Set, and other wrought iron tables and chairs. Concrete décor includes a Lion Head planter, concrete benches, fountain figures, planters and a bird bath statues and garden gnomes, and animals. 

*Please note, this house has been vacant for two years, and this time period has affected many of the items' condition.

Before Roger Slone passed away in Dec. 2024, he worked on cars for 50 years and was a master mechanic for GM. He had made a name for himself before he opened his own place in Salem, and all his customers came to him by word of mouth. According to his family, he was known for his work on transmissions. 

This auction contains tools from his garage and includes a car lift, Snap-on parts washer, and American Forge & Foundry hydraulic press. There are numerous Craftsman and Snap-on tools, work benches, toolboxes, and much more. If you love tools, this is the auction for you.

Ms. Evonne Plebuch recently sold her historic 1907 mansion on Washington Street in Roanoke. During the restoration of the grand house, she lovingly selected furnishings of grand proportions to decorate it. We are pleased to offer a small part of the home’s fine furnishings in this auction.

Many furnishings are French and Italian. There are many fine pieces such as a Louis XV parlor set with yellow damask fabric and gold gilted trim, grand porcelain Urns, decorative lamps, an impressive gold gilted ornate Louis XVI display China cabinet with heavy carved crown and apron, a beautiful Sevres soup tureen, a large impressive outdoor wrought iron Cinderella Carriage by Zaer Ltd. International, French mantel clocks,  a Venetian lacquered hand painted dresser with pink marble top, a French three-piece parlor table set with Pink Marble, a baroque Italian China cabinet, chandeliers, mahogany desk, and French provincial pieces.
