A wide variety of coins/currency is offered in this outstanding auction with a significant number of coins certified by ANACS, PCGS, NGC, and ICG.  Many gold issues are included and have been certified including modern Gold Eagles in multiple denominations.  Included are Morgan dollars (a nice group of GSA Carson City issues in black boxes), Peace dollars, many type coins (large cents, half dimes, seated coinage); Bust and Barber halves, and a few key coins such as 1909-s V.D.B. cent, 1885-cc Morgan dollar, 1879-cc Morgan dollar, 1995-w Eagle Anniversary (NGC PF 69 ultra) and 1802 Large cent 1/000 (NGC certified).   A few certified platinum coins are also available.  There is a wide variety of material for the novice or professional collector.  A collection this diverse does not come along very often, so bid accordingly.  We wish all bidders success in obtaining the coins/currency they've been searching for!  Happy Bidding!

Mrs. Fran Bowling is selling it all and heading out on a new adventure! She has been in the Roanoke area all of her life dedicating her time to family, community & Northminster Presbyterian Church. Most of all she lived her life teaching and guiding her students. She was a dedicated teacher for Huff Lane Elementary School, leaving her legacy with every young person that she crossed paths with. She has left her mark on countless generations. Now she is embarking on a new journey. Farmer Auctions is honored to be chosen to assist her with this transition. In this auction you will be pleased to find mid-century and contemporary furnishings, a beautiful Howard Miller tall case clock, Rare Wickerdale Copeland Spode bone china, very nice table linens for all seasons & a 1840 infantry officers sword.

Mr. Bowling retired after 43 years of service from C&P telephone company where he started as a lineman and retired as an engineer's assistant. His contribution to the collection includes lineman tools and memorabilia, Bedford memorabilia including annuals from The Peaks 1946 and 48, commemorative plates, map & a brick from the old Liberty academy formally Randolph Macon boys school, embroidered linens, vintage Tupperware, bakeware, cookware and many small appliances. Mrs Bowling loves her holidays and there are decorations for almost every season. A nice wide variety of Vintage Toys. Rounding out the collection is a beautiful steel glider with matching chairs and occasional table as well as many other porch furnishings and deck furnishings.

Farmer Auctions is proud to present to you the Estate of Mrs. Rita Menz Herbst of Roanoke, VA. She was a native of Sewickley, Pennsylvania & graduated from Duquesne University with a bachelor's in Psychology.  Rita was a woman of devout Catholic faith & a loving mother of three daughters. She was also an active member of Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church. Loved spending time with her friends, playing Bridge & snuggling with her fur babies.

Her Collection consists of a nice variety of 10k & 14k gold jewelry including rings, necklaces & earrings along with a large collection of costume jewelry. 96 piece set of Sterling International Flatware, antique dolls, religious items, cat decor, a large collection of Boyd's bears & Santa's. She also had several P. Buckley Moss framed prints & other original artwork. Fine Antique English furniture, nice wool rugs, a variety of pottery, baskets, household items & more!!
