Farmer Auctions is privileged to present the Estate of Lynn Carnahan Carey Lipsey & John Crawford Lipsey, M.D., of Blacksburg, Virginia. Dr. Lipsey served in the U.S. Air Force before an extensive medical career working in Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Student & Public Health, and lastly as the Medical Director at the Radford Arsenal. Mrs. Lipsey was an avid gardener, crossword aficionado and served as a docent at William Preston’s Smithfield Historic house and volunteer at the Blacksburg Interfaith Food Pantry for many years. 

Both Lynn and John had a deep appreciation for the many places they lived (Mississippi, New Orleans, Pensacola, South Carolina, Kentucky, San Francisco, & Virginia) and loved to travel. This outstanding collection represents their impeccable taste, and love of animals, nature and all cultures. Lynn was meticulous in her notes and records including the provenance of their immense art collection, and also the numerous family heirlooms.
